Her clients have a place to reflect, consider the big picture, focus on what matters, strategize –- and take action, leveraging the coaching partnership to course-correct until successfully achieving their goals.

Karen's clients refer to the positive impact, not only on their KPIs and overall leadership, but also on their stress levels and professional and personal fulfillment.

Karen's 4-step Executive Coaching Process outlines her highly individualized approach:

Step 1: Assess and Connect
Step 1: Assess and Connect
Step 1: Assess and Connect
The coach conducts diagnostics, often including 360° feedback, individualized assessments, and thorough discussion to explore the client’s objectives for executive coaching (current work situation, leadership challenges, relevant background, etc.). The coach works with the client to create a highly productive, judgment-free environment, enabling the client to identify and leverage areas of strength, to address areas of development, and to gain clarity on potential goals. The coach also acts as an accountability partner for the client throughout the coaching process.
Step 2: Focus and Hone
Step 2: Focus and Hone
Step 2: Focus and Hone
The coach works with the client to synthesize information that emerged in the diagnostic step with the client’s key areas of strength, challenge, development, and objectives, enabling the client to hone tangible and actionable goals for the coaching process. The coach assists the client in identifying and removing barriers, and in utilizing existing and creating additional skills and resources, to best prepare the client for success in maximizing their desired impact and achieving their goals.
Step 3: Act and Adjust
Step 3: Act and Adjust
Step 3: Act and Adjust
Clients take incremental actions to address each goal, focusing on behavioral and mindset changes. The coach assists the client with reflecting on these actions, measuring success, and course-correcting/iterating as necessary. The coach utilizes various coaching approaches, tools, and models, including Appreciative Inquiry, Reflective Inquiry, Transformational Coaching, and the TOMS model (topic, outcome, meaning of goal, success measure) to support overall client success.
Step 4: Achieve and Move Forward
Step 4: Achieve and Move Forward
Step 4: Achieve and Move Forward
Clients achieve their goals, increase self-awareness, and further develop and apply a growth mindset. They emerge from this coaching process accustomed to engaging in the Action — Reflection — Iteration loop, enabling them to pursue their own ongoing growth and development. Many clients opt to immediately engage with additional opportunities and areas of development by clarifying new goals and continuing with executive coaching.

I frequently come away from our executive coaching sessions feeling stronger and better able to face difficult conversations. Karen asks questions that invite me to consider other perspectives while also building confidence in how I’m going to approach a particular challenge. She has helped me to understand myself, what I want, and how I am most successful, to a depth that I had not previously understood. This enables me to confidently know what I need and to work towards and protect that.

I began my executive coaching experience with Karen at a crossroads in my professional career. Karen played a pivotal role in helping me tap into the real questions and considerations I had to face in order to make one of the most important personal or professional decisions I‘ve ever made; to leave a great career and leap into entrepreneurship. Over the course of several months, Karen and I spoke almost weekly. I would describe her coaching style as "leading with empathy". More than anything, I felt heard and seen by Karen on a deep level. I would unequivocally recommend Karen as an executive coach and confidant to anyone searching for leadership or professional coaching.
